Bon Jovi to hit the road without Richie Sambora, putting reunion rumors to rest

The Bon Jovi tour announcement has brought a lot of excitement to the fans with a possible reunion of the band with Richie Sambora, who left the band in 2013. However, as per TMZ sources, Sambora won't be joining the band on the tour ever in the future.

While Richie left the band in 2013, he joined the band in 2018 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction, leaving fans hopeful that he might join the band again after years for an occasional performance or two. However, that never happened.

In a 2024 report published by People, Jon Bon Jovi, when speaking of Richie Sambora, said in a statement:

"I’ve been waiting at the door for 10 years. But just to be clear, there was nothing but love. There was never a fight. Ultimately being in a rock band is not a life sentence. He had to deal with his other issues."

Talking about his sudden departure from the band, Bon Jovi added:

"We were all shocked. It was a show that night … and he just didn't show up. And then the next night, and then the next night. We had 120 people on the road, 80 other shows to do. So the train kept going."

In an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock last year, Jovi stated that the two are not in touch anymore.

On October 23, Bon Jovi shared the Forever Tour dates on social media, which are scheduled for next year. The complete details of the shows are as follows:

• July 7: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
• July 9: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
• July 12: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
• July 14: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
• August 28: Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, UK
• August 30: Croke Park, Dublin, IE
• September 04: Wembley Stadium, London, UK

The caption of the post included Jon Bon Jovi's statement:

"I am lucky enough to be able to hold a light out to the audience each night and stand in their reflection for a tremendous collective experience – I get to stand in the WE of our concerts. And I’ve spoken extensively on my gratitude but I will say it again, I’m deeply grateful that the fans and the brotherhood of this band have been patient and allowed me the time needed to get healthy and prepare for touring."

Tickets will be available for purchase from October 31.
