j-hope is on tour in support of his debut album

j-hope embarked on the new tour in support of his debut album, Jack in the Box, released on July 15, 2022, as well as his debut EP, Hope on the Street Vol. 1, which was released on March 29, 2024.

The singer talked about his album and other solo projects in an exclusive interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe on April 29, 2025, stating:

"Well this album 'Jack in the Box,' is filled with a lot of my aspirations, ambitions, and passions. The music I was doing before was more about trying to create a positive vibe as much as I could. For 'Jack in the Box,' I wanted to challenge myself to do something different. I guess I wanted to share what I envisioned musically."

The singer continued:

"So I thought that something a little harder and more intense was very appropriate for that time. It was about me wanting and yearning for something more and presenting something great. That is literally, Jack in the box."

The singer added:

"It's really about me, J-Hope, who felt trapped in the box, is now stepping out of that box to show my point of view and my music. In a way, the music I listened to when I was a kid became a source of inspiration. It's an album that's full of my personal experiences and thoughts."

j-hope started his new tour on February 28, 2025 with a show in Osaka, Japan, and continued it across the U.S., and rest of Asia. The tour is likely to be followed by the singer's return to his group BTS, along with the rest of the band members, who will return from South Korea's mandatory military service.

j-hope briefly talked about the upcoming reunion of BTS in the above mentioned exclusive interview with Apple Music, stating:

"...So I look forward to June when our members will have completed their service. We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future. I think it's going to be a massive energy. And the other thing that I've noticed on this tour, when BTS reunite and perform again, I feel that response will be tremendous..."

j-hope is best known for his work with the group BTS, which has so far released nine studio albums, with the latest being Be, which was released on November 20, 2020.
