“But it ain’t October yet”: Fans react as Drake shares fun photos from Germany’s Oktoberfest

Drake shared pictures of himself having a good time at the world’s largest beer festival; some of his fans are confused. On September 20, 2025, the God’s Plan hitmaker attended Munich’s Oktoberfest and images of him chugging mugs of beer and laughing with fans have circulated online.

While some fans have praised the rapper for his willingness to adapt to different cultures during his global tours, others are confused about his attending an event named Oktoberfest in September.

Drake, dressed in denim overalls and a white shirt, shared a carousel of photos and captioned them:

“OKTOBERFEST.”

An Instagram user @monchinni responded to the post saying:

“But it ain’t October yet."

Drake parties during Oktoberfest in Germany amidst his European tour

Drake stopped in Germany as part of his $ome $pecial $hows 4 U and has shown adaptability to the country’s traditions. He raised a beer stein on stage as he performed for the third night on September 19, 2025, before toasting playfully to the fans.

"Cheers to everyone in Munich, cheers to everyone in Germany, Prost!” Drake said as a round of loud applause was observed in the room. The 38-year-old rapper held the oversized mug as he said:

"I’m not drinking this whole thing. If I drink this whole thing, it’s going to be a completely different show. That’s the most I’m drinking. Otherwise, you’re going to be asking for a refund.”

The next day, the rapper put on his overalls and joined citizens at Oktoberfest. In photos shared on social media, the rapper can be seen posing with a woman with empty beer mugs. In another slide, he shares his view from a festival venue. In the third slide, he takes a mirror selfie. The rest of the slides show him chugging a large beer mug and hanging out with friends and fans.

After his Munich shows, the rapper will travel to Hamburg, Germany, on September 22 and 23, 2025.
