“But do it on Twitter & Instagram instead?”- Internet reacts as Offset says he won’t diss Cardi B in music out of respect for family and kids

Offset recently had an interview with The Joe Budden Podcast, released on August 5, 2025. During the interview, the singer talked about why he would not diss Cardi B in his music, particularly his upcoming album, stating:

"It’s therapy. I ain’t doing that on the album. The shots, I ain’t doing that.I might speak on life situations, but I’m not doing that. That ain’t the way to do it. There’s too much involved, family, kids. That s—t gonna be lame 10 years from now. I ain’t on that, but I’ll be expressing some feelings of how I feel about certain things."

Netizens reacted to this statement by Offset immediately, taking to social media to express their feelings on the matter, as exemplified by the tweets quoted below:

Offset's upcoming album Kiara will be his third album

Offset's upcoming album, Kiara, will be his third studio album. The album is set to be released on August 22, 2025. His previous studio album, Set It Off, was released in 2023. In between Set It Off and his upcoming album, the singer has released several singles, including ones featuring appearances from Gunna and JID.

The upcoming album will also be his first release since his split from Cardi B for what appears to be the final time. The duo had a tumultuous relationship even before their split last year.

After getting together in early 2017, cheating and other allegations quickly started to emerge, leading to the first split in 2018, and the filing of a divorce suit by Cardi B. Cardi B also filed for primary custody of their child.

This was followed by a period of reunion in 2020, leading to their second child being born in 2021. The duo continued to have what appeared to be a healthy relationship for the next couple of years, before problems started emerging once again.

In 2023, cheating claims started once again emerging against Offset, leading to a brief split, before they reunited in 2024. However, Offset made cheating allegations against her in September 2024. Cardi B subsequently filed for divorce, leading to a full-blown public spat that lasted till early 2025.

Cardi B is currently in a relationship with Steffon Diggs, with Offset recently celebrating his ex's apparent split with Diggs a few months ago. Offset, meanwhile, has had children from other women, including a son he had with Oriel Jamie, and a daughter with Shya L'Amour, alongside his children with Cardi B.

The rapper is best known for his debut album, Father of 4, as well as his work with the group Migos, which he was part of with Quavo, and the late Takeoff. Migos released four studio albums.
