Cardi B’s long-awaited second album is set to drop on September 19, 2025, and the Bodak Yellow hitmaker and fans were spotted having a streetstyle party in Washington Heights on September 13, 2025.

A pop-up event organized by the rapper at a New York Bodega quickly became a full-blown party. The artist dressed in a plaid skirt, white shirt and a grey vest, twerked atop a car and entertained the crowd.

She also bought nearly 200 sandwiches and almost 300 drinks for the people outside—Hameed Al Halimi, a worker at Cloud Deli, revealed to the New York Times.

Cardi B has marketed the upcoming album in different creative ways. A day after the September 2, 2025, ruling in the assault and battery case brought against her by a bodyguard, the 32-year-old began selling courtroom editions of the upcoming album.

She said in a video posted on her Instagram:

“They cost 9.99, and just because I won the verdict, guess what I still gotta pay these lawyers,” she explained. “So if you could donate $9.99, these will be costing $9.99, please buy these.”

On another occasion, she shared a video of herself on the streets of New York, trying to sell exclusive vinyl and CD versions of Am I the Drama? Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds could be heard playing as she invited passersby to buy her music for $9.99. She wrote in the caption:

“My label said I gotta get out in these streets and sell my album.”

Speaking with Apple Music’s Zane Loewe in August 2025, Cardi B explained the thought process behind the making of her new album:

"I really like to do my things very colorful. I’m a very colorful person. But it’s just like this past year, I feel like something kind of was dying in me.”

She added:

"My humbleness, me trying so much to be unproblematic, me trying to avoid drama, avoid the disses, avoid the b*****s, avoid the talks, it’s like that shit is dying, that’s dying out in me.”
