Chevy Metal 2025 summer tour: Ticket info, dates, venues, and more explored

Chevy Metal, the cover band co-founded by the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, is officially hitting the road this summer with a new lineup.

Their 2025 tour is set to kick off on Saturday, July 12, in Menlo Park, California. The run will see the band play a dozen shows across the United States and will wrap up in Las Vegas on Friday, September 5.

This tour is expected to be a musical continuation of Taylor Hawkins’ legacy, now carried forward by his 17-year-old son, Shane Hawkins, who takes over drum duties.

Chevy Metal added new dates to their 2025 tour and made an official Instagram post to announce them. The post read:

"What up! New dates added… 8/8 Venice Beach, CA- @thevenicewest …8/31 Agoura Hills, CA- @canyonagoura …9/5 Las Vegas, NV- Bootleggers Copa… Tickets on sale now! Link in bio…"

At Chevy Metal’s 2025 shows, fans can expect covers of Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Queen, Thin Lizzy, and The Rolling Stones. Chevy Metal began as a side project in the early 2000s, with Taylor Hawkins jamming alongside Foo Fighters drum tech Wiley Hodgden. Guitarist Brent Woods, a former student of guitar icon Randy Rhoads, later joined them.

The band frequently featured surprise guests like Mick Jagger, Joan Jett, Chad Smith, Roger Taylor, and other Foo Fighters members during live shows. Following Taylor Hawkins’ passing in 2022, his son Shane picked up the drumsticks.

Shane Hawkins played at multiple memorial concerts and joined Chevy Metal for gigs in 2023 and 2024. In 2025, he became a full touring member. Shane says:

"It's been awesome playing with Wiley and Brent in Chevy Metal and keeping my dad's legacy alive. I’m excited to bring my own vibe to the music."

Presale and Ticket Info

Tickets for most dates are available via Ticketmaster and venue websites. A Live Nation presale for select shows began on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 9 a.m. local time with presale code FREESTYLE. General public sales opened on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 9 a.m. local time.

Notably, the band's August 31 show in Agoura Hills will support the Eastwood Ranch Foundation, an animal welfare organization.
