GloRilla might’ve had a chaotic week, but that didn’t stop her from going all-out for her birthday. Just days after turning herself in on a felony drug charge, the Memphis rapper was back on Instagram serving full glam in a new birthday shoot and, of course, stirring the pot while at it.
On July 28, she posted a carousel of bold, bossed-up photos, wishing herself a happy “Glo Day” and calling herself a “Queen Leo.” But what really sent fans spiraling was the hashtag she cheekily slipped in: #30. It didn’t take long for chaos to erupt in the comments section, with everyone suddenly becoming an age detective.
GloRilla’s #30 Post Goes Viral
GloRilla is actually 26, but that didn’t stop her from trolling fans with the “30” tag, and it worked. The internet instantly lit up, with everyone trying to figure out whether she was joking or had actually been lying about her age all this time.
Some weren’t buying it, but others? Let’s just say they had thoughts.
“That’s way too tryhard”
Another chimed in with a straight-up roast:
“Damn she looks 35 with a makeover”
A third added fuel to the fire:
“Looks 34. Easily”
And of course, someone dropped the line that ended up spreading across platforms:
“Not they believing you 30 fr”
That line alone captured what most people were thinking it’s one thing to troll your followers, but it’s another thing entirely when half of them start believing it.
The timing of the post only added to the buzz. Just a few days before her birthday, GloRilla had turned herself in to Forsyth County Jail in Georgia. Police had reportedly entered her home responding to a burglary call, but ended up finding drugs, including marijuana and narcotics. She wasn’t home at the time but later surrendered and was released on bond.
She broke her silence soon after, calling out law enforcement for focusing on her weed stash rather than the people who allegedly broke into her house. In a tweet, she vented:
“CRAZY My House got Home Invaded Saturday While I was in Indianapolis performing for the WNBA all star game. Instead of Focusing on finding the Suspects , they focus on some cannabis.”
That post earned her even more support and even some respect for not playing the victim and calling things out as she saw them.
Despite the legal noise, her 25th year wasn’t too bad. GloRilla dropped her debut album, Glorious, which charted on Billboard, and even hosted her first-ever “Glo Bash” with artists like Sexyy Red and Muni Long. The legal setback and age trolling seem like just another plot twist in her rollercoaster journey.
At this point, it’s clear GloRilla knows exactly how to keep people talking. Whether it’s dropping heat, clapping back on socials, or turning a mugshot week into a modeling moment, she stays unapologetically herself. The birthday troll may have started as a joke, but it definitely worked. Love her or not, she knows how to command attention even if half the internet now thinks she’s 30.
And judging by those reactions? She’s not sweating it.
