Bad Bunny is one of the world's most-streamed artists. He is notably popular in the United States. However, American fans noticed that the Puerto Rican star's previously announced Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour 2025-26 has no U.S. dates.
At first, Bad Bunny told Variety in June that it was "unnecessary" to play the U.S. after recent touring. He stated that American fans had already had plenty of opportunities to see him. However, in a new interview with i-D Magazine, he admitted the decision was also due to the concerns over U.S. immigration enforcement.
Specifically, Bad Bunny revealed that he and his team were worried about the possibility of ICE agents targeting his concerts. He stated,
"Man, honestly, yes. There were many reasons why I did not show up in the US, and none of them were out of hate, I have performed there many times. All of [the shows] have been successful."
He also added:
"All of them have been magnificent. But there was the issue of, like, f**king ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it's something that we were talking about and very concerned about.”
Notably, the comments are one of the first times a significant Latin star has openly linked U.S. tour decisions to immigration enforcement issues.
Bad Bunny's comments come amid a reported increase in immigration enforcement. According to Reuters, over 100,000 people were arrested by ICE between January and early June 2025. By mid-June, more than 56,000 people were in custody.
More on Bad Bunny
In July 2025, Bad Bunny shared video footage on Instagram, which showed what appeared to be an ICE raid in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He also criticized officers. The singer has also spoken out about his frustration with how U.S. policies affect Puerto Ricans.
This summer, Bad Bunny is staging a 30-date residency at San Juan's José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum. It has been titled No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí (I Don't Want to Leave Here). Bad Bunny's residency is set to run from July 11 through September 14. Fans from the mainland U.S. were encouraged to travel to Puerto Rico to see him. The island is accessible without a passport for American citizens.
