System of a Down has officially confirmed their return to the UK and Europe with a seven-date stadium tour in summer 2026. The newly scheduled run is being produced by Live Nation. It will be their first European shows since 2017 and follows some sold-out stadium shows in North and South America earlier this year.
During this upcoming 2025 UK/EU tour, the Armenian-American metal band will be joined by special guests Queens of the Stone Age and opening act Acid Bath. The European tour will begin on June 29, 2025, in Stockholm, Sweden. It includes stops in Paris, Milan, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Warsaw, and a London date at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Notably, System of a Down is also teasing an additional "very special show," which is yet to be announced.
System of a Down took to their official Instagram page to announce the 2025 EU/UK run, captioning:
"EUROPE | UK 2026 🌍 We are thrilled to return next summer with special guests @QueensOfTheStoneAge and @AcidBath.official. Sign-up at systemofadown.com for first access to tickets starting Tuesday, 16 Sept at 12 PM local time. General on sale begins Friday, 19 Sept at 12 PM local. Plans are also underway for a very special event to take place following these shows. Stay tuned…"
In a recent statement, System of a Down's Daron Malakian spoke about the possibility of a new band record, stating:
"I know people will hate for me to say this, but I am not sure I want to make another System Of A Down record. We have those five records, which people still enjoy and we play live. I'm really enjoying being live onstage with System Of A Down."
He also added:
"We are all getting along really well. There was never hatred between us. The differences between us were more about the politics in the band and how different people wanted the band to move forward."
System of a Down was formed in the mid-1990s in California by Serj Tankian, Daron Malakian, Shavo Odadjian, and John Dolmayan. Albums like Toxicity (2001) and Mezmerize/Hypnotize (2005) received notable acclaim from fans. Notably, the band has not released a studio album since 2005. However, they did issue two tracks in 2020: Protect the Land and Genocidal Humanoidz.
