The incident took place during Chappell Roan's ongoing Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things tour. During her Pink Pony Club performance at a Kansas City stop, Roan noticed someone in the crowd yawning. Roan stopped the music and shouted, "B**ch, don't yawn!" Fans reacted to this online, saying:

Chappell Roan also made headlines after yelling "F**k ICE forever!" during her Rose Bowl performance in Pasadena, California. The comment caused a response from the Department of Homeland Security. DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement:

"Pink Pony Club is good. Pedophiles are bad. That's who we are getting off our streets. Get a grip."
