British indie rock act Doves are officially set to close out 2025 with a relatively short run of UK shows and a new compilation album. The Manchester-based band will play four newly announced dates in December 2025 following a series of summer festival appearances. They will also release So, Here We Are: Best Of Doves on November 14, 2025.
Notably, frontman Jimi Goodwin continues his break from live performances. Brothers Jez and Andy Williams will take on vocal duties for the newly announced shows. They will continue the adjusted live setup that began earlier this year when the band hit the road in support of their sixth studio album, Constellations For The Lonely.
They announced the late 2025 tour via an official Instagram post, which read:
"Three decades of Doves music will be celebrated this winter, as the band are proud to announce a brand new compilation and further UK Tour dates. So, Here We Are: Best Of Doves is a collection hand-selected by the band from their six studio albums and more."
The post continued:
"Celebrating a musical career that covers more than a million albums sold, including three UK No.1-charting modern classics, a Mercury Prize nomination and sold out tours of the most prestigious venues. Pre-order* 'So, Here We Are: Best Of Doves' on any format from the Doves store by 12 PM GMT on Monday 11 August 2025 to receive an exclusive ticket pre-sale code for Doves 2025 UK Winter Tour. General sale available from 10 am Wednesday 13 August."
The group was formed in the late 1990s. A studio fire ended their early career as electronic outfit Sub Sub. Then they stepped into the early 2000s UK indie scene as Doves. Their 2000 debut, Lost Souls, was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize and was followed by beloved releases, including The Last Broadcast (2002) and Some Cities (2005). The latter debuted at No. 1 in the UK charts.
After an extended hiatus that began in 2010, the band returned in 2020 with The Universal Want and again in early 2025 with Constellations For The Lonely.
