Azealia Banks and Doechii have had a public feud since 2022, and the female rappers have thrown direct and veiled insults at each other. The friction between the two artists seemingly began after Banks turned down an invitation to collaborate on the remix of Doechii’s track Crazy.

The 212 hitmaker would later go on to criticise the new artist Doechii and her record label, leading to a series of back-and-forths on the Internet and allegations of substance abuse and body-shaming comments. On June 30, 2025, Azealia Banks, known for her statements about her colleagues in the music industry, expressed that she was open to collaborating with Doechii.

The latter hasn’t responded to the offer.

After Doechii released Crazy in April 2022, she contacted Banks to feature on the remix. Banks agreed and confirmed the collaboration on Instagram before cancelling some hours later. She later claimed that Doechii’s record label, TDE, was struggling:

“TDE is going out f*cking sad. What the f*ck is even happening with TDE?”

Doechii addressed Banks’ statements whilst replying to a fan’s question on X:

"I'm not sure. Sometimes, when people have been hurt so many times, they develop a defence and end up creating the illusion of problems because they won't allow themselves to accept something good. Trauma responses .. 1 was respectful, excited and grateful to make art with her."

In May 2023, Doechii doubled down on her earlier statements, adding that she didn’t take the 2022 incident “too seriously” and was open to collaborating with Banks. In April 2024, Doechii asked the Internet to come up with a name for her fan base, and Banks connected on the post, suggesting that they be called “wannabes”

Doechii responded:

"The first time you came for me, I let it slide outta respect for my elders. It’s not my fault you sellin b*ssy soap and I’m sellin platinum records. Leave me alone, PLEASE.”

Banks responded with derogatory remarks and claimed that Doechii was an unattractive version of herself that Kendrick Lamar and TDE discovered. Doechii, whilst performing in June 2024, imitated one of Banks' dance moves, and the latter called her out over it.

In January 2025, the beef between the two female artists continued as Azealia Banks shared Doechii’s freestyle video of Beyoncé’s AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM. At the beginning of the video, the Anxiety rapper rubs her nose, and Banks commented on the gesture, stating:

“Wait, what was said about meds frying my brain?” she wrote. “Lmao who the f*** still snorts coke post 2017??

Before that, Azealia Banks had responded to a fan’s claim that Doechii was one of the “hardest rappers in the game.” She described the latter as a “DEI hire” and claimed that other rappers like Asian Doll and Flo Milli were better than her.

In June 2025, Azealia Banks responded to a Netizen’s suggestion to include a rap feature on one of her songs, stating:

“I was thinking this could be cool with a female rap feature? Doechii?”

Whilst the other rapper hasn’t responded to Bank’s statement, it will be refreshing to see the rap talents on a track together.
