Young Thug's alleged leaked jail calls are making headlines.

The rapper's alleged calls started leaking out and circulating on August 29, 2025, and since then, the singer has been heard discussing things on these calls about different people.

First up is Quality Control's P, whom Thug allegedly called a "rat" - a street term for an informant (similar to a snitch) - in one of these calls. The relevant portion of the call is here quoted as reported by XXL Magazine on September 3, 2025:

"That ni**a is a rat. I don’t give a f**k what happened… You got somebody sent to chain gang."

Young Thug's calling out P as a "rat" allegedly led to Lil Baby and P unfollowing each other. P also denied the claims in a statement that was obtained by DJAkademics and posted on their Instagram page.

In another alleged leaked phone call, Young Thug admits to the usage of bots for the release of his album, Business is Business, after having learned that the album might not debut at the top spot due to Morgan Wallen, referencing his alleged spending of $50,000 for Gunna's album DS4ever:

"You still got that plug, right? That sh*t that we did with Gunna and them?"

In yet another alleged leaked phone call, Thug talks with 21 Savage about wanting to drop his Business to Business album at the same time as Gunna's album:

“I’m tryna drop an album the same day Gunna drop. I’m really tryna f**k ni**a whole sh*t up."

Thug allegedly talked about why he dislikes Gunna, in another call:

"He gave the jurors the agreement that it’s [YSL] a gang…You just made it a muthaf**kin’ RICO a case… And you lying… you don’t know nobody on that muthaf**kin’ case but me and Duke..."

In other alleged calls, Young Thug is seemingly heard talking with Mariah the Scientist about how Wheezy Outta Here is not able to keep up with things, and with 21 Savage on how Thug actually didn't advise Unfoonk to take a plea deal.

Gunna features prominently on several of Thug's alleged leaked phone calls, as seen above, with more phone calls showing the rapper discussing his opinions of Gunna and Gunna's career after he took an Alford Plea deal.

Young Thug was imprisoned for trial from 2023 to late 2024

Young Thug was arrested in May 2022 alongside 27 other YSL members. He was held under the RICO Act (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) at the Fulton County Jail under remand (pre-trial detention) till November 2023, when his trial began.

The YSL Trial eventually led to the rapper pleading guilty on October 31, 2024, after a year of holding on to his not guilty plea. This came after Gunna had made his own Alford Plea back in December 2022.

Young Thug, born Jeffrey Williams, was granted commutation to time served for his original 5 years of prison sentence, and will be under a 15-year probation as part of his plea deal. The YSL RICO Trials were led by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, becoming the longest criminal trial in Georgia, as per NBC News.

Alongside his probation, Thug has also been banned from Metro Atlanta for the next 10 years, is stipulated to maintain no contact with known gang members, and perform four anti-gang concerts per year for Atlanta, among other stipulations.
