Busta Rhymes is thanking God for his MTV Video Music Award win as fans and celebrities share their moments from the show. The American rapper and record producer uploaded an Instagram post on September 8 with the caption:

"THE BLESSINGS DON’T STOP SO WE WON’T EVER STOP!!! NEVERRRRRR EVER EVER EVER!!! THERE IS NOTHING IN THIS WORLD THAT BEINGS ME MORE JOY THAN TO BE ABLE TO BASK IN THE FRUITS OF MY LABOR AND RECEIVE ALL OF THESE FLOWERS WITH YOUR CHILDREN AND YOUR FAMILY, YOUR FRIENDS AND THE PEOPLE THAT REALLY HELPED YOU GET THESE MAGICAL MOMENTS!!!"

Ending the caption, he wrote:

"THE BEAUTIFUL VICTORY!!! GOD IS THE GREATEST!! GOD IS THE GREATEST!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥"

Trevor George Smith Jr., famous by his stage name Busta Rhymes, received the Rock the Bells Visionary Award at the 2025 VMA. The fifty-three-year-old has been active in the music industry since 1986 and has given many hit songs, including Break Ya Neck, Firebomber, and Gimme Some More.

Busta Rhymes didn’t hold back his emotions while accepting the Rock the Bells Visionary Award at the MTV VMAs.

"Y'all know I usually do these long speeches. I'm not going to do one today. But next time y'all take 35 years to give me one of these, y'all are going to let me talk as long as I want."

Thanking everyone, he added:

"But let me get straight to it. Ciara, I love you. Yo Gotti salute. Mona Scott-Young, thank you for being the mother of my career. I want to thank my mother. I want to thank my father. Rest in peace, Dad. All praise is due to the Most High God is the greatest. I want to thank my beautiful children."

The rapper also thanked DJ Scratch and Ananda Lewis. Busta Rhymes has won numerous prestigious awards, including the BET Hip Hop Awards and Myx Music Awards, and has also been nominated for Grammys and American Music Awards.

Speaking to Billboard on the red carpet of the VMA, he said:

"It’s incredible… you know, I’ve never not felt the love, but it’s definitely evolved into new heights. It’s a whole other thing to be getting it from your community and your folks and even more so in the abundance that it’s been happening in."
