Young Thug recently took to his X page to state that he should've cherished Lil Keed more than some of the other rappers. The singer posted his message on September 6, 2025:
"I should’ve cherished him more then u ni***s."
Little Keed died due to liver and kidney failure from a condition known as eosinophilia.
The late rapper was complaining about stomach pains in the days before his death on May 12, 2022. He was hospitalized and eventually died. As per an article by People, the coroner's report stated that:
"He had been sick in bed for 4 days with complaints of stomach and back pains. His brother noted that the decedent's eyes were jaundiced and drove him to the hospital in a private vehicle."
The rapper apparently had been in the hospital the year before but left against medical advice. Lil Keed was one of the many rappers who joined Young Thug's YSL Records. Keed, born Raqhid Jevon Render, died the same year that the YSL RICO Trials started.
The late rapper and Young Thug collaborated on the track Big Tipper. Thug also appeared on the late rapper's three studio albums. On the first album, Long Live Mexico, Thug appeared on the tracks Million Dollar Mansion and Proud of Me.
On the second album, Trapped on Cleveland 3, he appeared on the tracks Kiss Em Peace, Hibachi, and Wanna See You, the last being one of the bonus tracks of the album. On Lil Keed's final album, Keed Talk to 'Em 2, Young Thug appeared on the tracks All I Wanna Know and Big Bag.

In a recent tweet, the singer seemingly addressed these RICO trials. The rapper posted on his X page:
