Lady Gaga's newest album was released a few hours ago on March 7, 2025. Gaga has teased a few singles over the past months, such as Disease and Abracadabra, which were a big hit among her fans. Gaga's seventh studio album contains 14 songs in total with a listening time of almost an hour, 53 minutes, and 4 seconds to be exact.

Billboard ranked Lady Gaga's songs from her new album Mayhem

Just a few hours after Mayhem's release, Billboard explored Lady Gaga's latest album and came up with a ranking for each of her songs.

Have a look at how Billboard ranked all 14 songs from Mother Monster's new album. The songs are listed from the highest Billboard ranking to the lowest.

Perfect Celebrity

Billboard has listed Perfect Celebrity at the top of the rankings. Perfect Celebrity is reminiscent of Lady Gaga's previous songs, such as Paparazzi and Perfect Illusion. The song talks about an individual who is being used because of her fame and notoriety.

Garden of Eden

Garden of Eden is the third song on Mayhem's tracklist but places second according to Billboard rankings. It is a "grating electro" and "synth-pop" piece that was co-produced by DJ Gesaffelstein. The song was inspired by previous hits such as Born This Way and The Fame.

Zombieboy

Third on the Billboard rankings is Zombieboy. The song is dedicated to her late friend Rick Genest. You may have seen him in one of Gaga's music videos, Born This Way. He was a Canadian artist with full-body tattoos. Gaga said,

"I think that Rick [Genest] just was an inspiring person. And when I was working on this song, which is ultimately a big celebration song, that word just popped into my head.

She continued,

And that song is all about the moment in the night when you and your friends all realize that you’re going to wake up not feeling well the next day because you’re having too much fun, so it’s about being a zombie in the morning." Gaga said as she associateed this feeling with her late friend's personality.

Abracadabra

Abracadabra was released as a single on February 3, 2025, and fans were going crazy over it. Billboard has placed it at the fourth rank. It is a dance pop track that is a reminder of some of the songs Lady Gaga first started out with.

Shadow of a Man

Vanish Into You

This is one of the first songs that Lady Gaga wrote for her seventh studio album. She described it as an "apocalyptic love song" at the Spotify’s Little Monster Press Conference. Billboard has given this song sixth place. Gaga described the song,

Killah feat. Gesaffelstein

Blade of Grass

The second-to-last song on the album is given a place at eighth rank on the Billboard ranking. The song was inspired by Lady Gaga's fiancé, Michael Polansky. In an interview, Gaga recalled how the idea for Blade of Grass came to her. She said,

"We were in our backyard and I said “just take a blade of grass and wrap it around my finger”. And then I wrote “Blade of grass” cause I remembered the way his face looked, and I remembered the grass in the backyard".

Disease

The first track on the album is Disease, and Billboard has placed it at the ninth rank. This specific track is a mix of genres from electropop, dance-pop, dark-pop, and synth-pop to an EDM song, and so many more layers to it.
