“I recognized the signs”: Fans speculate Taylor Swift could be mystery guest after Travis Kelce’s tease

Travis Kelce, star NFL player and boyfriend to pop star Taylor Swift, has announced a new episode of his popular podcast series New Heights, and speculations are rife that the mystery guest might be Swift.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared an Instagram post showing himself and his brother with a silhouette of their mystery guest in the middle.

The post read:

"92%ers, we’re returning early for a special episode with a VERY special guest. New episode Wednesday 7 PM ET.”

Some fans quickly pointed out that the silhouette resembled Swift's and assumed that the Kelce brothers planned to break the internet with the news. Another Instagram user, @whatsonherwrist, used keywords from Kelce’s announcement to predict Swift’s appearance on the show.

The singer’s song August from her album Folklore, her lucky number 13, and the orange background that her fandom has associated with her upcoming album.

They wrote:

"It's August. It's the 13th. Orange background. I'm not even a Swifty, and I recognized the signs."

More fans speculate on Taylor Swift being Travis Kelce’s mystery podcast guest

After Travis Kelce’s teaser for his podcast on Instagram, several fans tried to decipher who the mystery guest could be. @christianoliviaaa suggested that the mystery guest could be Taylor Swift based on the familiar silhouette.

They wrote:

“I think I know that silhouette ALL TOO WELL.”

“That looks very mother-shaped to me,” @maciekh._ added.

Another fan took the guessing to another level:

“I bet Taylor is gonna announce her new album on the podcast,” @madisongertsch stated.

Another Instagram user did not believe an album was on its way yet but rather speculated that Taylor Swift and Kelce planned to announce their engagement instead:

“My guess is it's not a T12 album, but it's them announcing that they are engaged."
