American actor and producer Penn Badgley and his wife, Dominic Kirke, welcome twin children. The actor broke the news via a video shared on his official Instagram on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

In the video, Penn Badgley jokingly announces the twins’ arrival.

“I’m interrupting my paternity leave, which I'm on by the way, which is also why I'm whispering here. Look, you want to see the baby's feet?” the actor asked. “Just tiny little baby feet right there. I don't want to wake them up."

The You actor went on to announce his highly anticipated upcoming novel, Crushmore.

“We have an event. A pod crushed live event at Symphony Space in New York City 14th. The links are…does anybody say ‘Link in bio’ anymore? They don't. I shouldn't say that. Oh God, my millennialism is overtaking me. Um, you know where to go for that information. It’s going to be somewhere in my account and probably in the stories. Uh, we have more announcements that are going to interrupt my paternity leave all throughout this month and the next, leading up to our book release. So stay tuned.”

More details on Penn Badgley and Domino Kirke’s children

In addition to their newly welcomed twins, Penn Badgley and Domino Kirke are parents to a 4-year-old son born in August 2020. His name has not been revealed to the public. On February 27, 2017, Badgley and Dominic tied the knot in a New York courthouse after dating for three years. After their marriage, Penn Badgley became the stepfather of Kirke’s son, Cassius, 16.

In a red carpet interview with Access Hollywood, the 38-year-old Gossip Girl actor spoke about fatherhood and how he was gearing up to turn his boys into gentlemen.

“They’re identical boys, so now we have four boys. You know, I do mean this sincerely. It sounds a bit tacky, but the world needs more good men, so you know, pressure’s on us to raise them well.”

Penn also spoke about patience as his superpower:

“Well, it’s my patience until I’ve lost it, and then I’m just as bad as anybody else. But, I can be very patient.”

In another interview with Jimmy Fallon, Badgley shared his excitement about welcoming twins.

“I mean, it's thrilling. Obviously, it's a nice dose of reality, like every time I see the sonogram, it just feels so good.”

Penn Badgley added that his 4-year-old son was also eagerly anticipating the arrival of his siblings.

“So, the 4-year-old we have, he’s stoked because he’s just like he really wants to be a big brother.”
