Touring Data has revealed that Kendrick Lamar is the first rapper to amass a gross profit of over $9 million from a single concert. The worldwide concert gross and ticket sales reporting outlet shared on X on April 23, 2025, that Kendrick Lamar broke the record on the first night of his Grand National Tour with SZA at Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

The concert generated a total revenue of $9,124,989, according to Touring Data. The figure came from selling 47,354 tickets (100%) at an average price of $192.70.

This analysis from Touring Data breaks Eminem’s previous record of a gross profit of $8,708,390 from a 2019 concert in Melbourne. Lamar has become the first rapper in history to gross $9 million or more from a single show as a headliner or co-headliner.

In addition to gross profits earned by Kendrick Lamar, the Bank Stadium show has also become Lamar and SZA’s most-attended show of all time.

More details on the Grand National Tour by Kendrick Lamar and SZA

The duo announced their joint tour, dubbed the Grand National Tour, on February 10, 2025, just a day after they gave an electrifying performance at the Super Bowl.

SZA teased the tour as something different on an episode of the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show:

"Oh, we’re doing a new thing,” she said. “We’re both just throwing all the paint at the wall… This is our first stadium show for both of us, so we pretty much have to go insane.”

The Grand National Tour is the first stadium tour for both artists and began on April 19, 2025, at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. So far, the artists have performed in Minneapolis, Houston, Arlington, and Atlanta, and concertgoers have given rave reviews of the artists' performances.

The artists have seemingly maintained a core setlist for fans with slight variations at each show and have alternated between their solo performances before converging to sing some of their popular tracks.

The set list for their first four concerts sees Lamar performing some of his hit tracks like Wacced Out Murals and King Kunta before teaming up with SZA on 30 for 30.

SZA proceeds with her solo performance of hits like Love Galore and Broken Clocks. Lamar takes the stage again and performs up to nine songs, including Euphoria, Reincarnated, and Humble.

SZA comes on stage and dazzles the crowd again before the duo performs Doves in the Wind and All the Stars. After multiple solo performances, Kendrick Lamar and SZA end with their Billboard-dominating song, Luther and Gloria.

The Grand National Tour continues at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on May 3, 2025.
