The Weeknd has made history as the male solo artist with the most shows at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. He also boasts the most shows at Rogers Centre amongst his Canadian counterparts.

For his After Hours Till Dawn tour, the 35-year-old artist stopped in Toronto, where he plans to hold shows at the Rogers Centre. On July 27, 2025, The Weeknd performed for an excited crowd.

Concertgoers were excited to see the Grammy-winning artist in his hometown. After multiple songs, the artist began performing behind dancers and revealed himself to fans wearing a gold-plated mask.

After numerous performances, The Weeknd removed the mask slowly, and the crowd cheered him. Tesfaye got emotional as he said:

“Well, that’s a warm welcome home, isn’t it?

The Weeknd took in the stadium and began reminiscing on the times he’d be in the stands to watch Blue Jays games. The dome of the arena was opened during The Weeknd’s performance, and the singer commented on how beautiful it looked.

He had previously received a warm welcome from the Mayor of Toronto, Olivia Chow. In a private ceremony held on July 26, 2025, The Weeknd was presented with the Key to the City.

The mayor stated during the ceremony:

"Born in Toronto, Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye represents the best of our city. I am proud to honour one of our city’s greatest artists with a Key to the City to celebrate his contributions to music, society and our culture.”?

@PopBase shared the news of The Weeknd having the most shows of other solo male artists at the Rogers Centre.

@riddle_sphere tweeted in response:
