Lewis Capaldi is rumored to make his comeback with a secret set at the upcoming 2025 edition of the Glastonbury Festival, as per reports in the Daily Mail. According to the publication, the Eavis family, which runs the festival, has confirmed that the singer will perform at the Pyramid Stage before Alanis Morissette takes the stage on June 27, 2025.

No official confirmation regarding the claim has been provided by Lewis Capaldi or Glastonbury as of the writing of this article. However, one of the 56 slots for artists still open and unannounced at the festival is just before Alanis Morissette on the given date, per NME.

Capaldi last performed at Glastonbury back in 2023, where he struggled to sing due to issues with his voice caused by his Tourette Syndrome. The fans helped him finish the set and the set was subsequently praised online and by critics alike.

Lewis Capaldi stopped touring in 2023

Lewis Capaldi stopped touring in 2023 after his aforementioned struggles to finish his set at the 2023 Glastonbury festival. The singer suffers from Tourette Syndrome, which, according to the Mayo Clinic, is a neurodevelopmental disorder that presents as uncontrollable movements and tics (brief sudden movements). Tics can be both simple ones and complex ones.

Tourette Syndrome has no cure, and the exact causes of the syndrome have not been found. It is, however, generally believed to originate from a mix of genetic and environmental factors. Tourette Syndrome's complications range from ADHD to sleep disorders and anger management problems.

In his announcement post , the singer talked about his struggles with Tourette Syndrome, stating,

"The fact that this probably won't come as a surprise doesn't make it any easier to write, but I'm very sorry to let you know I'm going to be taking a break from touring for the foreseeable future.I used to be able to enjoy every second of shows like this and I'd hoped three weeks away would sort me out..."

The singer continued,

"But the truth is I'm still learning to adjust to the impact of my Tourette's and on Saturday it became obvious that I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come..."

The singer further added,

"I'm so incredibly sorry to everyone who had planned to come to a show before the end of the year but I need to feel well to perform at the standard you all deserve. Playing for you every night is all I've ever dreamed of so this has been the most difficult decision of my life..."

Lewis Capaldi released his second studio album, Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent, in the same year. The album was highly successful and is currently the singer's last full-length release.

More recently, the singer released the single Love the Hell Out of You as part of the soundtrack for the film It Ends with Us, which is based on the novel of the same name by Coleen Hoover. Lewis Capaldi has also released his cover of Britney Spears' Everytime to streaming services.

Lewis Capaldi is from Scotland, and his birth name is Lewis Marc Capaldi. He was born in 1996 and started his career in 2017. The singer released his debut album (now his most popular), Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, in 2019.
