Addison Rae’s debut album ‘Addison’ racks up 13.4 million Spotify streams on day one

Addison Rae’s self-titled debut album dropped on June 6, through Columbia Records. To celebrate the release, the singer performed seven songs from the new album at The Box in New York City on June 5 in partnership with Spotify. According to Pop Base, the album has reportedly racked up "13.4 million streams" on the streaming channel in "its first day."

This has reportedly surpassed the streaming numbers of Miley Cyrus's "Something Beautiful," which garnered "8.5 million." Rae took to Instagram to celebrate the debut of her new album, describing it as her "most personal and intimate possession." In the post, the singer expressed gratitude and added,

"Making music is vulnerable, energetically sensitive, electric, gratifying, challenging…... pure magic. I am unbelievably proud. I am looking up to the sky with fingers interlaced.. lucky. Everyone who was and is involved in this project is a genius."
