The release date of Mariah Carey’s Here For It All is symbolic

The release date of Here For It All is symbolic as it falls exactly 30 years since the release of the singer’s last album project, Daydream. The iconic singer sparked speculation about an upcoming project with the release of Type Dangerous.

She released teasers as a video montage of past interviews and a cryptic file titled T:D_MC16.mp3. On July 21, 2025, Mariah Carey officially announced Here For It All with an album cover reveal.

Anderson Paak, who worked with Mariah Carey on Play This Song and co-wrote Type Dangerous revealed in an interview with Billboard that it was awesome to work with Mariah Carey:

“It was awesome to be able to work on her project. She’s amazing to work with, a great writer, great producer. So much fun. We had a lot of fun.”

Paak added:

"That was one of the last records we did in the studio, and it came together like so quick. She’s a big hip-hop head, so I wanted to try to find something that we could continue the lineage of her mixing the old with the new. And I think we got it with this one.”
