Mariah Carey has dropped her sixteenth studio album, Here For It All, on September 26. The 11-track album features collaborations with Anderson .Paak and The Clark Sisters, per Billboard. In an interview with CBS, Mariah opened up about how the album draws from her personal experiences, including the grief of losing her mother and sister on the same day last year.
Talking about the creative process, Mariah told the outlet that it combines "classic and fresh elements." She added,
"I would say it's new Mariah, but still sounds like Mariah, but there's a little twist to it that makes it a little bit different."
Mariah took to her Instagram to announce the release of her album, noting that she is "emotional", yet proud of it. She expressed gratitude towards her collaborators and added,
"This album represents many different sides of me and I can't wait for you to hear and absorb it."
