Miley Cyrus' 9th studio album, Something Beautiful, was released in May 2025. However, the singer has added two additional tracks for the deluxe edition of Something Beautiful. The deluxe version was released on September 19 and now contains 15 tracks in total. The two new songs that were added are titled Secrets featuring Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood, and Lockdown featuring David Byrne.
In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Cyrus revealed the idea behind creating Something Beautiful. She said:
"My idea was making The Wall, but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture."
Metacritic gave Something Beautiful "generally favorable reviews" with a score of 71 out of 100 from 16 critic scores.
This is what Nick Levine of NME had to say. He called it
"a fully realized artistic statement... records what she wants, when she wants, because she knows she's got the chops to pull it off."

Miley Cyrus' Something Beautiful (Deluxe) tracklist ranked best to worst
Here are all the 15 songs from Miley Cyrus' Something Beautiful (Deluxe) album, ranked from best to worst.
Disclaimer: The songs ranked in this list reflect the personal opinions of the author and may not align with the preferences of all listeners.
More to Lose
In More to Lose, Miley becomes more vulnerable, talking about a failed relationship. It echoes the feelings of loss, regret, and past choices. It is one of the longer tracks in the album. Cyrus has also released a black and white official music video to accompany the track.
Golden Burning Sun
Golden Burning Sun is not just a song, but a track for someone dreaming of a future with their significant other. But at the same time, the song is bittersweet when Miley sings:
"Can I have you if I never let you down?"
Miley is trying to balance between the need to express pain and wanting to find beauty in surrender and acceptance.
Pretend You’re God
Pretend You're God is one of the most different tracks on the Something Beautiful (Deluxe) album. It has an almost gritty and grunge vibe to it. The lyrics are more poetic, but dark, when Cyrus sings:
"Hold me in your arms / Pretend that you're God / Recreate the stars for me one by one / I'll give you what you want / Pretend that you're God all night long / Oh, if you're gone / I'm haunted / I'm haunted"
Give Me Love
Give Me Love evokes a very pastoral imagery. It leans toward a more atmospheric and mythic territory. It is the last track on the Something Beautiful album, which feels like a perfect song to close an amazing journey.
Easy Lover
Immediately, the moment the song plays, it has elements of disco, funk, and a lively rhythm. It takes the listener back to the 2000s, evoking strong Blue (English boy band) vibes. It is one of the more upbeat songs in the Something Beautiful (Deluxe) album. This is a song anyone can dance to in their room or sing along to in the shower.
Secrets (feat. Lindsey Buckingham & Mick Fleetwood)
This is one of the additional songs on the Something Beautiful (Deluxe) album. It is an extremely personal piece that is dedicated to Miley's father, Billy Ray Cyrus. She collaborated with Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood to create a song that is dedicated to trust, vulnerability and carries weight emotionally.
End of the World
The title of the song does not reflect the upbeat notes that start the song. The genre of End of the World can be categorized as pop, dance, and Europop. It is reminiscent of her 2009 song The Time of Our Lives, which is also the title of her first EP.
Shaad D'Souza from Paper described the song as:
"there is an appealing fullness to the track that suggests a little more intention than we're used to from Cyrus. It's a dance track that's weird and winsome, and Cyrus' voice sounds great on it."
Atwood Magazine also elaborated that the song:
"feels like an anthem for the present moment with an exhilarating blend of hedonism, nostalgia, and defiance in the face of looming uncertainty"
Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved (feat. Naomi Campbell)
Every Girl You've Ever Loved can be considered one of the most iconic songs on the tracklist. Miley has collaborated with Naomi Campbell, where the model contributes via spoken word. The lyrics are empowering and create an unusual texture in music.
Critics have called the song a "fashion anthem" and "the perfect soundtrack for a spellbinding vogue-off".
Something Beautiful
This song is for all the yearners out there. Something Beautiful is a mix of hard rock and experimental jazz, a mix of beauty and chaos, reflected in the messiness of love.
This can be understood by her lyrics when she sings towards the end of the song:
"Eat my heart, break my soul, take my parts, let me go"
Walk of Fame (feat. Brittany Howard)
This song exudes feminine energy and confidence every time she sings:
"Every time I walk, it's a walk of fame."
The song has touches of glam, disco, and pop, while Howard's voice adds edge and grit to the track. While the message of the song is unclear as to who Miley is walking away from, however, the beats ensure that she does it in style.
Reborn
Reborn is another slower but disco-esque track on the Something Beautiful (Deluxe) album. It drives the message of transformation, shedding ego, being reborn. The breathy spoken word in the beginning gives listeners a euphoric, cathartic experience.
Lockdown (feat. David Byrne)
This is the second song in the Something Beautiful (Deluxe) album and one of the lengthiest, with a 13:31 listening time. It is more experimental, less structured, with more texture and atmosphere. It definitely gives off art album than a radio single.
Prelude
The song begins with a haunting note with a spoken-word introduction. It is a mix of synths and strings that evokes a strong Stranger Things vibe, taking listeners to a liminal space.
Interlude 1
Interlude 1 is a 1:14 instrumental track break from the slow piano ballad, which builds into a hectic compilation of notes.
Interlude 2
This is another instrumental break in the track, but instead of the retro sounds, it has a more techno and futuristic vibe.
Miley Cyrus' Something Beautiful (Deluxe) album solidifies her as one of pop's most fearless risk-takers, blending genres from disco-funk to grunge-inspired anthems. Her collaborations with Naomi Campbell, David Byrne, Mick Fleetwood, Brittany Howard, and Lindsey Buckingham only deepen the album's experimental flair.
