Morgan Wallen has earned the biggest album debut of 2025, according to reports from Luminate. Wallen’s album I’m The Problem sold 493,000 units with 133,000 pure album sales in its first week, beating out The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow album with 490,000 units to secure its position on top.
The country album, which features artists like Joey Moi, Tate McRae, Charlie Handsome, and Post Malone, also broke records on streaming platforms. The 37-song album holds the largest on-demand streams of any other released in 2025, with 462.63 million streams.
Wallen’s impressive album sales have extended his streak as the country singer with the most debuts atop the Billboard 200 chart.
The album’s interesting title stems from the country music star’s recent controversies with Saturday Night Live, arrest, and subsequent conviction. The I Had Some Help crooner stated in an interview with People published on May 16, 2025:
“I have been a problem, for sure, and I've got no problem admitting that. But there are other sides to me as well. I've spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, 'Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?' "
He added:
"I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it."
