BTS' Jungkook made new headlines with his independent album GOLDEN. The maknae’s solo album made history as the first album by an Asian solo artist to exceed 6.2 billion streams on Spotify. GOLDEN also turned out to be the fastest studio album by an Asian Act to reach this mark.

Jeon Jungkook’s fans were ecstatic to see his new record with a two-year-old album. Consequently, his fans inundated the social media platforms with appreciation for BTS member and his album.

BTS maknae released solo album in 2023

The youngest BTS member came out with the album GOLDEN in November 2023 shortly before leaving for his mandatory military duty in December. BIGHIT Music explained the main idea of BTS' Jungkook’s album with these words:

“GOLDEN reflects on the golden moments of Jung Kook as a solo artist. The new album features a total of 11 tracks including previously released global smash hits 'Seven (feat. Latto)', in both clean and explicit versions, and '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)', as well as the main track 'Standing Next to You' and seven brand new tracks.”

BTS' Jungkook made a new record without dropping any fresh music. The Golden Maknae became the K-pop soloist with the most tracks that have received more than 100 million Spotify streams. The idol has 19 tracks that have surpassed the said streaming figure.
