This weekend, Shakira will take the stage at Guadalajara’s Akron Stadium, also known as Chivas Stadium, with concerts scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday. Thousands of fans are expected to attend, and to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow, the Highway Patrol has announced a special road operation.

The operation is designed to assist visitors traveling to and from the stadium, ensuring smooth traffic flow and minimal disruption. To prevent congestion and keep both vehicles and pedestrians moving without major delays, officers will be deployed on patrol cars, motorcycles, and bicycles.

Authorities also advised the public to plan their trips early. Drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes, and all attendees are asked to follow official directions. The goal is to maintain traffic control and provide assistance when necessary.

The Highway Patrol will assign 120 officers to the operation for Shakira's Chivas concert. Ten patrol cars, along with 10 motorcycle patrol cars and 10 bicycle patrol cars, will be supporting them. This installation is to include the primary access points of the stadium.

The plan will be operational between 2.00 p.m. and till the end of Shakira's concert every day. There will be officers at strategic points to check the flow of traffic. They will also help drivers and pedestrians locate safe means of accessing and exiting the stadium premises.

The key points of interest will be the principal exits and entrances into the venue. Authorities anticipate high traffic during the lead-up to the show and during its closure, too. The patrol units will help to decrease the long delays and eliminate road accidents.

Authorities are urging concertgoers to plan ahead before heading to the stadium. Leaving early can help reduce stress and avoid last-minute problems. Attendees are also advised to review their routes in advance and consider alternative options in case of heavy traffic.

The Highway Patrol advises drivers to trust on-site officers as they give instructions. Disobeying signs or attempting to violate traffic lights may result in accidents. The collaboration with the patrol teams will aid in the success of the plan.

Authorities also recommend using public transportation to avoid parking concerns. Concertgoers can opt for buses, ride-sharing services, or taxis instead of driving, helping to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow around the stadium.
