Ashley Tisdale and Olivia Olson bring back childhood memories at the Phineas and Ferb reboot.
In a blast from the past, Ashley Tisdale and Olivia Olson came back together to sing songs from their animated show Phineas and Ferb. At the premiere of the upcoming reboot of the Disney classic, the duo who played Candace Flynn and Vanessa Doofenshmirtz, respectively, sang the song 'Busted.'
Adding to the nostalgia, the two also dressed up like their cartoon characters, with Ashley wearing red and Olivia, whose character Vanessa always dressed as an edgy femme fatale, wearing a black dress. Phineas and Ferb reboot
After a decade, Phineas and Ferb announced its comeback with brand new episodes. The show creators promise no major changes, except an added stripe to Phineas' shirt to make him look taller, maintaining the same iconic characters but with fresh ideas.
Dan Povenmire, one of the creators, said, "We were a little worried at first, like are we going to get in the writer' room and just get a lot ‘No, did that.’ ‘Did that.’ ‘Did that’.”
The original show ran from 2007 to 2015, focusing on two brothers, Phineas and Ferb, and their crazy genius creations. The series is set to have 40 episodes, with the first two episodes airing on 5 June on Disney Channel and Disney XD, and the first full batch of 10 episodes will premiere on Disney+ starting 6 June.
The series truly took off in popularity during the pandemic, making this reboot an obvious idea. Despite not releasing new episodes for ten years, the show is one of the top ten animated children's shows on streaming services and has amassed 50 million hours on Disney+ globally to date.
