BigHit Music has officially introduced its third boy group, CORTIS. The announcement came on August 7, 2025, at midnight KST. It has triggered excitement across the internet.
Fans are eager to see what the group brings to the table. However, the group name has become a topic of online banter for some. Many are joking that it sounds like a protein shake brand rather than a K-pop act. One such fan declared,
"CORTIS sounds like a protein shake"
The newly announced boy group is generating significant curiosity among fans and enthusiasts. Its debut is officially scheduled for August 18, 2025. This is going to be BigHit Music's first boy group launch in nearly six years, following TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) in 2019 and BTS in 2013.

- Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho – less is known publicly about them.
The group will not reportedly use fixed positions like "main dancer" or "vocalist." Instead, the members will rotate roles based on each project.
Notably, the group has already launched its official social media channels, including X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok, under the handle @cortis_bighit. A teaser video was posted as well. It featured a stylized "error screen" overlay with the group's name in pink tones. Another video is set to premiere on August 10, 2025, at midnight KST on the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel.
