BTS' Jungkook recently made headlines across the globe with his much-awaited military discharge, which took place on June 11. Besides his return from the military, the K-pop idol has been garnering more attention with his one and only solo album, GOLDEN.

Creating a new record, GOLDEN surpassed 5.7 billion streams on Spotify. BTS’ Jungkook’s solo effort became the first and only album by an Asian Soloist to reach this mark. Additionally, GOLDEN emerged as the fastest studio album by an Asian/K-pop Act to achieve this feat.

BTS' Jungkook came out with GOLDEN in November 2023

Jeon Jungkook debuted his solo album GOLDEN on November 3, 2023. There were seven songs on the LP. Here are the songs that make up the GOLDEN collection:

  • Closer to You (feat. Major Lazer)
  • Seven (feat. Latto) Explicit Version
  • Yes or No
  • Please Don't Change (feat. DJ Snake)
  • Hate You
  • Somebody
  • Standing Next To You
  • Too Sad to Dance
  • Shot Glass of Tears
  • Seven (ft. Latto) Clean Version
  • 3D (ft. Jack Harlow)

Plus, in 2025, the idol's Spotify streams alone surpassed 1 billion. The Shot Glass of Tears vocalist reached this point without setting a new record; this is because he took a long break to serve in the military.

After maknae's military discharge on June 11, he debuted on June 13 with his first event. Starting in December 2023, the golden maknae served for 18 months in the South Korean military. During their Seoul performance of "HOPE ON THE STAGE," Jungkook and j-hope worked together onstage. During Hobi's performance, the idol made an unexpected appearance and sang three songs.

During the performance, Jk sang I Wonder together with j-hope, Jamais Vu alongside Jin and j-hope, and his solo single SEVEN. Jungkook of BTS wore two distinct styles for his performance. As stated by @thebtslookbook, the first look was him in a denim jacket by GIVENCHY featuring the brand's 72 monogram and sequins, and the second saw him in a silver denim jacket with the MASU Boys Emblem.

With 9 billion streams on Spotify, the BTS maknae became the first and only K-Pop solo artist, according to @WORLDMUSICAWARDS, who publicized the news on June 16, 2025. Additionally, BTS' Jungkook became the quickest K-pop act to do this, much faster than his own group.

The most-streamed K-pop soloist of all time is BTS maknae, as shared by @AboutMusicYT's X post on April 17. The Still With You maker topped the charts with more than 8.6 billion Spotify streams.

In related news, BTS' Jungkook is reportedly preparing for his much-anticipated solo tour that will happen in the coming months of 2025. Following this, the BTS comeback is planned for March 2026.
