BTS' Jungkook’s solo record GOLDEN marked a major milestone as it officially crossed 6 billion streams on Spotify. With the new feat, GOLDEN became the first and only record by an Asian solo artist to reach the mark. In addition to this, GOLDEN turned out to be the fastest album by any Asian act to reach this point.

Furthermore, JK joined BTS as the only Asian acts with albums exceeding 6 billion streams in Spotify history.

Fans rejoice as BTS' Jungkook’s GOLDEN surpasses 6 billion streams on Spotify

While some fans hailed BTS maknae as King and a history maker, others congratulated the idol on his new feat.

“I’m screaming—Jungkook’s GOLDEN hitting 6 BILLION streams on Spotify is insane! First Asian soloist to do it and the fastest Asian act? Our Golden Maknae’s killing it!,” a fan said.
“KING JUNGKOOK. HISTORY MAKER JUNGKOOK. CONGRATULATIONS JUNGKOOK,” commented another fan.
“He did that with his solo debut album others could only wish,” wrote an admirer.
“Absolutely insane!! Jungkook just made history with 6 BILLION streams on GOLDEN. Truly the king of K-pop and global pop.,” stated another fan.

Some fans said that Jungkook is in the league of his own, while others stressed the insane impact of the idol’s debut album.

GOLDEN was released in November 2023

Jeon Jungkook came out with his album on November 3, 2023. BIGHIT Music described BTS' Jungkook’s studio album in the following words:

“GOLDEN reflects on the golden moments of Jung Kook as a solo artist. The new album features a total of 11 tracks including previously released global smash hits "Seven (feat. Latto)", in both clean and explicit versions, and "3D (feat. Jack Harlow)", as well as the main track "Standing Next to You" and seven brand new tracks.” BIGHIT stated.

Jungkook is reportedly in the US working with his bandmates on their comeback album, anticipated to drop in 2026.
