Man makes a bizarre claim about BLACKPINK’s Jennie being his daughter.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim has been caught up in a bizarre case where a man is claiming to be her father. It is no surprise to the public that Jennie has been estranged from her father; however, according to the court ruling, the man in question had no evidence proving his relationship to the K-pop idol.
This all started when "A" published an AI-generated book claiming that Jennie was his biological daughter, along with using her agency's logo on the cover. After this, the news spread like wildfire on the internet. However, the man kept claiming paternity of the idol without having any probable evidence to support his claims. Kim's agency, OA Entertainment, announced in September 2024 that they are planning to take legal action against the author. The agency then filed a lawsuit in December.
Kim, represented by the Yulchon firm, filed an injunction with the Uijeongbu District Court Goyang Branch on December 24, 2024, to halt the distribution of the book, wherein the man was named "A" and his publishing company, "B," as defendants.
Jennie's lawsuit's verdict
On May 9, 2025, the court made a ruling in the plaintiff's favor, putting an end to this entire farce. "A" could not provide any proof of the fact, through means of a DNA test or any other documents, that he was her father, while the court noted that in her official family registry, a different person was listed as her father.
“There is no supporting evidence for the defendant's claim aside from his own statements,” court statement read. “Meanwhile, the plaintiff's official family registry clearly identifies another man as her father. It is therefore reasonable to conclude that the defendant's claim is untrue.”
Furthermore, the court took into account the impact this had on her family and career. The court ordered the removal and destruction of all copies of the, the deletion of any social media posts in relation to the singer, as well as prohibited referencing Jennie in any future publications, interviews, or on social media.
However, no financial penalties were issued by the court against the defendant, as it was acknowledged that the case was a violation of personality rights and not property rights infringement.
The BLACKPINK member has won her case against the impostor, highlighting the growing dangers of AI and the lack of privacy and safety people in the spotlight face.
