Cardi B dropped her sophomore album, Am I The Drama?, on September 19, seven years after her 2018 debut album, Invasion of Privacy. The artist left no stone unturned to promote her album, and there was much hype around it. The 23-track album, which also includes hits like WAP and Up, has already earned Platinum certification from the RIAA.

The album includes multiple guest artist appearances, like Selena Gomez, Tyla, Summer Walker, Lizzo, and Megan Thee Stallion, among others. The album has also been leading the streaming race now. On the first day of streaming, Am I The Drama? earned 14.68 million streams on Spotify.

As the streaming statistic surfaced on the internet, many of her fans reacted in excitement. By naming Cardi B's long-standing rival, Nicki Minaj, a fan wrote,

"Ended nicki whole career"

Netizens praised Cardi B's Am I The Drama? for its streaming success

On September 20, Pop Base shared the album's achievement on Spotify, to which many netizens reacted. A user commented that with such a rate, the rapper would compete with pop legend Michael Jackson.

"Cardi B will compete with Michael Jackson at this rate"

Another netizen called the streaming numbers "incredible," adding that Cardi B's music resonates with people.

"That’s an incredible number of streams. It just shows how much her music resonates with people. It’s so great to see her getting this kind of success."

A user added that Spotify numbers didn't reflect the true success of Cardi B's album and claimed that most people streamed the album on Apple Music.

"Just FYI- most people are streaming it on Apple Music. That's very obvious by how hard it's smashing on there."

Another fan echoed the same point, adding that Spotify wasn't the sole streaming platform.

"Spotify not the only streaming platform. Apple music we smashinggg"

An internet user added that the numbers were not surprising and were already expected, and called the album one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

"I’m not surprised at all by this. The album is so good and it was one of the most anticipated releases of the year. It deserves all the success."
