Gorillaz are officially returning to UK and Irish stages in 2026 with a new arena run titled The Mountain Tour. The announcement follows the reveal of their upcoming ninth studio album, The Mountain, which is slated to be released on March 20, 2026, via their newly founded label KONG.
The newly announced tour will cover multiple cities, including Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, Belfast, and Dublin. Gorillaz will wrap up with a one-off summer headline show at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The album and tour news follow Gorillaz' recently completed four-show residency at London's Copper Box Arena. Those performances were the group's 25th anniversary celebration. It featured phone-free shows where the band premiered much of The Mountain in full.
Gorillaz took to their official Instagram page to announce the upcoming 2026 trek, captioning:
"The Mountain Tour - UK & Ireland Arenas 2026. Plus one-off, summer headline show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 20th June with support from Sparks and TRUENO. Mailing list presale begins 11 am BST on Wednesday 17th September. This presale will only be accessible to those who register in advance before 5pm BST on Tuesday 16th September. The band also issued an official press release about their upcoming album, which read:
"Circumstances now find Murdoc Niccals, Russel Hobbs, 2D and Noodle in India, having made their way to Mumbai with the help of four fake passports courtesy of a New York business acquaintance of Murdoc. The band has turned its back on international pop stardom, with our heroes now immersed in the rhythms of mystical music-making, as they navigate the mountainous terrain of this thing called life."
