American rapper Kid Cudi and longtime partner Lola Abecassis Sartore are officially husband and wife. On July 11, the rapper, born Scott Mescudi, shared that the couple tied the knot on June 28 during a private ceremony in the South of France.
He wrote on an Instagram post featuring wedding photos:
“Man, I’ve been waiting for this moment my whole life. A truly special day with amazing [friends] and loving family.”
Cudi continued writing a message for his wife:
“I love this woman so so much, and I know she loves me in the same way. It’s always a battle sayin ‘I love you more’ because she always wins that battle haha. My best friend. My ride or die.”
The wedding photographs featured Kid Cudi and Lola Abecassis Sartore kissing, cutting into a strawberry-covered cake, and posing with Cudi’s mother, Elsie Mescudi.
“Here’s to starting a new chapter. To my baby Lola, we are in for a wonderfully fantastic journey together. Next we need this baby … not joking.”
Kid Cudi and Lola Abecassis met in 2018 at a Virgil Abloh fashion show. Sartore, a former Louis Vuitton designer and now the head designer at ERL, wore a gown by close friend Alain Paul, who also served as her bridesman, during the ceremony.
The wedding was held at Cap Estel in Èze, near Sartore’s childhood home. She told Vogue:
“It was bliss. A moment out of time where the world stopped, and it was just the two of us. We forgot everything around us. It was just us and our love, and it was the purest moment.”
