Barry Can't Swim has officially released his new single, Kimpton—a collaborative track with London-based producer O'Flynn.

The Scottish artist is known for blending live instrumentation with club-inspired electronic beats. He dropped Kimpton as a preview of his upcoming second album, Loner, which is officially set to arrive on July 11, 2025, via Ninja Tune.

The track quickly grabbed fans' attention with its soft melodies and beats. According to reports, Barry Can't Swim has used elements like kalimba, atmospheric vocals, strings, and subtle harp to create Kimpton's soundscape. The artist took to his official Instagram account to share the new track announcement, captioning:

"Buzzing to finally share my new track ‘Kimpton’, is out now, a collab with my good friend @oflynnmusic. Ben actually lives around the corner from me and before we made this I was struggling with a bit of writers block."

He added:

"Going round to his house to just jam and make music for the love of it with one of your good mates was such a perfect tonic, and after that the whole album came together really quickly. I have been a huge fan of him for years, I’m really proud to finally be able to share it. Ps - doing some record store shows in July, link in bio!"

"Barry Can't Swim is in a different league, can't wait for this album to drop," hyped a fourth.
"I have been following Barry Can’t Swim since before he blew up, and he sure is one talented dude!! That is why I am a little disappointed that he has resorted to ripping off the riff of Pjanoo, by Eric Prydz. There was nay need, ladies!!," criticized a fifth.
