“I’m just her cheerleader,” says MGK as he reunites with daughter Casie on red carpet after two years

MGK and his daughter, Casie, recently made a splash at the red carpet by making an appearance at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. The appearance was the first of the father-daughter duo on the carpets in almost two years, with Casie accompanying her father in a light purple dress to contrast with his all-black attire.

The rapper has always been appreciative of the role Casie has played in his life, and has credited her presence with bringing him back from the brink as well. During the event, MGK was seen standing on the sidelines with a proud look on his face when he was introduced by Casie to perform "Cliche." When Casie complimented him in front of the crowd, MGK went on to refer to himself as his daughter's "cheerleader".

The duo navigated the event with aplomb, and the entire internet was left gushing over their camaraderie. Casie also indicated her plans to follow in the creative footsteps of her dad one day and indicated that she is looking for ways to tap into that possibility.

The impact of fatherhood on MGK

Casie has consistently been a positive influence on Machine Gun Kelly's life, and he has often spoken fondly about her. She has been spotted on the red carpet with her dad previously as well, and has even contributed to MGK’s music, including a spoken track on his 2022 album Mainstream Sellout.

The rapper has now welcomed his second daughter, Saga Blade, into the world with ex-partner Megan Fox. She was born in March 2025. MGK has previously revealed that her name draws its roots from Nordic influences. Saga's entry into their lives has also been a significant part of both MGK’s and Casie’s lives in recent months, and the rapper opened up about the topic in his latest public appearance. He stated:

"I wrote her (Saga Blade) a lullaby on a ukulele. Megan is in the no sleep club, for sure. I've been traveling a little bit, just doing some performances. So on those nights, I for sure, just hit the snooze button a million times and I'm catching up on all this. Women are in the rougher trenches of the newborn process, but my specialty is music and laughs and whatever I can do to make her smile and kind of get introduced to the world with love"

He then went on to add:

"It (being a father) opened up the side of myself that I needed to stay alive to this point. Without her, it’s an easy decline, you know?"

Casie, for her part, also joined in the conversation and expressed her delight at becoming an elder sister. Casie is now a teenager creating her own identity, and it is going to be interesting to see how their relationship develops in the spotlight. While MGK has his hands full with being a doting father to his daughters, he is also set to flex his creative powers with the release of his upcoming album Lost Americana on August 8, 2025.
