"I want a new era": Cardi B hints at follow-up to 'Am I the Drama?' coming next year

Cardi B isn't slowing down for a second. Fresh off dropping Am I The Drama?, her long-awaited sophomore album, the rap superstar is already plotting her next era.

During her candid chat with her fans (Bardi Gang) through X/Twitter Spaces on Monday, Oct. 28, she said:

"I see you guys asking for a deluxe or asking to do a remix album like Charli X[CX] or something. Unfortunately, I am not doing none of that. What I gave y'all is what y'all getting."

On Sept. 19, Cardi B finally unveiled her much-anticipated second LP, Am I the Drama?, comprising 23 songs and running for an hour and 11 minutes. The record came seven years after Invasion of Privacy, which contains 13 songs and has a 48-minute total listening period.

Speaking with her fans on Monday, Cardi B revealed her plans for her music return, just a month after releasing her second studio album.

"However, I want to put out a project another album in less than a year, so I'm really planning on that. I want a new era, I kinda know what I want it to look like. It's gonna be different from Am I the Drama?"

Meanwhile, Cardi B didn’t just tease new music during her Spaces conversation with her Bardi Gang. Cardi B also let them in on how she’s really feeling about pregnancy right now.

“I can't f**king wait to give birth because I have made a very strict schedule. You see how I was in a strict schedule while I was doing the rollout? Well, that is the same way that I'm going to be when I give birth. I want to be a bad b**ch. I feel really beautiful being pregnant, but I want to go back to bad b**ching. So I need to tighten up my body."

Cardi B's Little Miss Drama Tour 2026 details

As she gears up for her new project, Cardi B also prepares for her anticipated Little Miss Drama Tour, set to kick off in Palm Springs on Feb. 11, 2026.
