On June 6, 2025, BTS' RM shared an Instagram story featuring a collage of his pictures in military uniform with his fellow army members. The idol also wrote ‘D-3’ in his story, indicating the number of days left for his military discharge. The LOST! rapper, who was enlisted in December 2023, is all set for his discharge on June 10, 2025.

Admirers of BTS' RM appeared to be captivated by the idol's military gear. As a result, his admirers inundated social media with fervor for the idol's homecoming and compliments for his appearance in uniform. A user on X remarked:

Many other followers reacted to BTS' RM’s latest Instagram story. While some said he looked 'hot and handsome', others said they couldn’t wait for the rapper’s discharge.

“He’s so hot and handsome, it’s giving me butterflies in my stomach. Just looking at him fills my mind with unholy thoughts. I can’t wait for him to come out ...only a few days left, and I’m counting every second.,” a fan commented.

BTS' RM frequently shared updates on Instagram

As the military discharge drew closer, Kim Namjoon, aka RM, frequently shared stories on Instagram. Earlier, the idol shared several countdown stories while nearing his release. His Instagram stories excited his fans and also showed RM’s excitement for the group’s reunion.

The rapper will be discharged alongside his bandmate Kim Taehyung, aka V, as they joined their respective training at the same time. The day after RM’s release, on June 11, Jimin and Jungkook are also set for release.

BIGHIT Music released a notice making the idols’ discharge official and also informing his fans that the release day is reserved for military personnel. They also stated that no special events are planned for the day, therefore, requesting fans to avoid overcrowding the respective areas.

Lastly, SUGA, aka Agust D, will be released on June 16, 2025. As of now, Jin and J-hope are the two members of BTS who wrapped up with their army terms in 2024.
