On June 1, 2025, BTS’ Taehyung shared an Instagram story featuring a countdown to his military discharge. As shown in the story, only nine days remained until V’s military service ends.
Earlier, on May 31, another bandmate RM shared similar countdown story on his personal Instagram account, showing ten days. As BTS’ Taehyung and RM joined their service together, both of them are scheduled for discharge on June 10, 2025.
Fans of BTS' Taehyung appeared ecstatic over his and the other members' military release. As a result, his fans flooded social media with anticipation for the idol's homecoming. One X user responded:

Many other fans gave their mixed reactions for V’s military return. While some said they’re excited for BTS' Taehyung’s discharge, others said the idol is so precious.

“Taehyung is ready to come home!!!,” stated an admirer.

Jungkook, Jimin, and SUGA will also complete their terms in June
Besides Kim Taehyung and RM, other BTS singers, notably Jungkook, SUGA, and Jimin are also nearing the completion of their respective military discharge.
Jimin and Jungkook also started their obligatory training together, therefore, they will be discharged together on June 11, 2025. Lastly, SUGA, aka Agust D, will be freed on June 21, 2025. BTS’ reunion is one of the most awaited events of this year.
J-Hope and Jin were released in 2024. While the former was released in October, the latter returned in June.
