Twitch streamer Kai Cenat and world-famous artist Drake will team up for a live stream on June 12, 2025, at 8 PM EST on Cenat’s Twitch channel. Their stream will focus on going through entries in the “Somebody Loves Me” music video contest, which they launched earlier this year with PartyNextDoor.
The competition, announced in May, called for upcoming directors to pitch their ideas for a video to accompany the track “Somebody Loves Me.” Entrants were required to design a concept that could be produced within a $15,000 budget. From the submitted ideas, 20 will receive funding to bring their vision to life. The submissions closed on May 24, gathering ideas from creators worldwide.
Planned for June 11, they pushed the livestream to June 12 because they received too many entries to handle in time. The delay gave them extra time to review submissions. On Instagram, Cenat thanked everyone who submitted and mentioned that he and Drake would watch and pick out some videos during the June 12 stream. They plan to spotlight some of the best ones, share feedback, and then reveal the 20 selected creators.
Kai Cenat’s Instagram story read:
“First of all Thank you to everyone who shared their video submission for Somebody Loves Me. We were blown away by the creativity and thought poured into each submission. We were suppose to go live today but needed a little extra time to review them. Tomorrow DRAKE & I gonna go through some of the submission with you guys, share some of my favourites and some of the not so good ones and let ya’ll know which 20 ppl are is getting money to bring their treatments to life! JUNE 12TH 8PM EST.”
The livestream is also part of a bigger effort to help young creatives. It will be interactive, with Cenat and Drake reacting to the entries live, giving their thoughts and critiques. This project has boosted Cenat's Twitch channel and brought the music contest to new audiences.

Drake and Kai Cenat strengthen streaming presence amid music industry buzz
Drake has been active on Twitch for quite a while. He has shown up on streaming sites before and used them to connect with his fans. Teaming up with Kai Cenat, he has joined streams and interacted live, keeping his presence steady in the streaming world.
Recently, a case involving Universal Music Group mentioned Kai Cenat, and his appearance at the BET Awards 2025 drew even more attention. He reportedly had a moment with Kendrick Lamar at the awards.
Even though there’s been a buzz over Cenat’s connections during some ongoing issues in the music world, his partnership with Drake is still going strong.
The livestream will happen right after the contest submission period ends, making it a key event in the "Somebody Loves Me" campaign.
