On July 4, 2025, Canadian rapper Aubrey Drake Graham premiered his latest track What Did I Miss, which appeared to contain subtle references to Kendrick Lamar. The song made its debut during a livestream titled Iceman Episode 1, adding to the intrigue surrounding Drake’s latest creative direction.

At one point in the music video, Graham is inside a storehouse with ice blocks around him. The camera then flashes to a board with “Iceaman” written in a corner in bold. Meanwhile, the verse that was seemingly targeted at Lamar is:

“I'm back in your city tonight, walkin' around with my head high/I saw bro went to Pop Out with them, but been d*ck riding gang since ‘Headlines’”

The outlet noted that ‘Pop Out’ likely referred to Kendrick Lamar’s June 19, 2024, concert of the same name. The concert was attended by some of Drake’s friends, like LeBron James and DeMar DeRozan.

In What Did I Miss, the rapper appeared to clap back at those people who took both sides in his feud with Lamar. The lines are:

“Last time I looked to my right, you ni**as was standing beside me/How can some people I love hang around pu**ies who try me? Let's go”

Drake is reportedly seen inside an ‘Iceman’ van, though little is known about it. According to Variety, this led to the speculation of an upcoming album by the same name. The video also displays a website for ‘Iceman,’ which is currently inactive.

As mentioned, the track was premiered during a livestream, and at one point, a fan reportedly cursed at him, but he also clapped back.

More about Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out concert and lyrics dissing Drake

At the Pop Out concert, there were instances of alleged hatred towards Drake. According to Variety, t-shirts showing Kendrick Lamar as a slave and Graham as a master were sold outside the concert venue.

Another t-shirt design featured Lamar with a baby in his arms, similar to the cover design of Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers album. However, instead of the baby’s face, it featured Graham’s.

Kendrick Lamar performed Not Like Us, the diss track against Drake. The track had the following lines:

“Y’all ain’t gon’ let nobody disrespect the West Coast/Y’all ain’t gon’ let nobody imitate our legends, huh.”

According to The Associated Press, this verse is in connection with Graham’s alleged use of technology to add Tupac Shakur’s voice to one of his tracks. While performing Euphoria, Lamar added a line:

“Give me 2Pac ring back and I might give you a little respect.”

The outlet noted that this line was in connection with Drake’s purchase of Shakur’s jewelry items.

Kendrick Lamar brought several people on stage and told everyone to pay attention to what they were seeing. He explained that it was rare to see so many different groups, including those from different parts of LA and street backgrounds, standing together peacefully.

He emphasized that it was no longer just about music or rivalries, but about unity, demonstrating how people from different backgrounds and neighborhoods could come together in peace.
