Justin Bieber’s return to the music industry came with both a surprise release and a viral moment. The pop star, who unexpectedly dropped his new album SWAG on July 11, was seen dancing with rapper Sexyy Red in a casual, smoke-filled Instagram video the same day.
The clip features the duo grooving to their new track, “Sweet Spot,” one of several collaborations on the album. At one point, Sexyy Red lip-syncs to her verse while twerking before Bieber joins her, planting a kiss on her temple as they vibe to the beat.
Justin Bieber wrote in the caption:
“love you frienddddddddddddd.”
He added that he was “faded” in the moment.
Sexyy Red also shared the video on her account, writing:
“Congratulations my friend just dropped his album.”

On the flip side, not all reactions were positive. Some online users took issue with the duo’s on-camera moment, while others criticized Bieber’s new release and questioned Sexyy Red as a featured collaborator.
“is it becoming new norm for men to just CHEAT on their wife?” @erinthereup inquired.
“Gross lyrics. Imagine being 30 something with a kid and putting this shit out into the world,” @AiryT1175435 said.
“Everything Sexyy Red is in is pure, unadulterated TRASH!! This garbage is beneath Justin Bieber,” @LolaC29231110 commented.
“Disgusting to have her on this song to ruin it with her disgusting whore ass. And her voice is truly ugly,” @landofbing added.
Justin Bieber ends four-year drought with new album SWAG
SWAG is Bieber’s first full-length album since 2021’s Justice, which topped the Billboard 200 for two weeks. The project arrived with little warning on Friday, just hours after the “Peaches” singer teased it on social media with a video of the tracklist lighting up a screen in New York’s Times Square.
The 21-track album runs just under an hour and features collaborations with several U.S. artists, including Gunna, Druski, and Cash Cobain, in addition to Sexyy Red. Posters promoting the record also popped up in Reykjavik, Iceland, where Bieber reportedly finalized the album in April.

In recent years, Justin Bieber has largely stepped away from the spotlight, especially after canceling much of his Justice World Tour in 2022. At the time, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a neurological condition that caused partial facial paralysis. He ultimately canceled 82 of 131 shows.
Despite his absence, the singer's loyal fan base — also known as Beliebers — had remained hopeful for new music. Their patience was rewarded when Swag arrived. Within hours, the hashtag #SWAGOUTNOW began trending worldwide on X, reflecting widespread excitement.
Bieber is currently adjusting to life as a new parent. He and his wife, Hailey, announced the birth of their son, Jack Blues, in August 2024.
