Miley Cyrus is entering a new era, and it’s looking (and sounding) like Something Beautiful.

The pop powerhouse just announced her 9th studio album, Something Beautiful, set to drop on May 30, 2025.

While it follows 2023’s Endless Summer Vacation, this next chapter promises something far more cinematic and intimate.

On the midnight of May 20, Cyrus took to X (Twitter) to share that this project is as personal as it is expansive.

“All 13 songs have a special place in my heart. Something Beautiful. May 30th.”

The 23-second teaser reveals the album’s full tracklist in thick black-and-white lettering, namely: “Prelude,” “Something Beautiful,” “End of the World,” “More To Lose,” “Interlude 1,” “Easy Lover,” “Interlude 2,” “Golden Burning Sun,” “Walk of Fame” (feat. Brittany Howard), “Pretend You’re God,” “Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved” (feat. Naomi Campbell), “Reborn,” and “Give Me Love.”

Along with the teaser, fans got a first taste of the sultry “Easy Lover,” featuring Naomi Campbell and Cyrus side by side, alongside quick visuals of the singer in various moods and styles.

Miley Cyrus released the first two tracks, “Prelude” and the album’s title track, in late March, ahead of the full album's drop in May.

The video for “Prelude” showcases spoken-word artistry, with Cyrus reflecting on the fragility of beauty over a steadily intensifying electronic backdrop. The lyrics go

“Like when following an image from a train / your eyes can’t keep the passing landscapes from being swallowed into endless distance / Like when holding a fistful of ashes / your hands can’t save the things that have already been dissolved into air”

Four hours later, “Something Beautiful” premiered, delivering a psych-pop chorus infused with jazz and soul influences and combined with elegant visuals in the music video.

Meanwhile, in early April, Cyrus dropped “End of the World,” a disco-pop smash that dives deep into the "juxtaposition between the happiness of being with someone you love while the world is crashing down around you."

“More To Lose,” on the other hand, was unveiled in May. It’s a poignant ballad that explores a failed relationship.

Adding another layer to the album, Miley Cyrus is stepping up as co-writer and co-director of Something Beautiful’s accompanying musical film. Teaming up with Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, the project fuses music and narrative that exhibit the album’s emotional palette.

Produced by Columbia Records, Sony Music Vision, Live Nation Entertainment, and XYZ Films, the cinematic companion is set to make its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival on June 6, 2025, with a theatrical release to follow later that month.
