Dance star Ezra Sosa recently appeared on the Just Trish podcast and confessed to an opportunity that passed him by. Sosa himself claimed that he was invited to the audition of the Eras Tour, but he refused the offer because he was already involved with Dancing with the Stars at the time.

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour occurred between March 2023 and December 2024 and featured some of the brightest dancers in the business. Choreography of the tour was done by Mandy Moore, who also has had a previous working relationship with Ezra Sosa. The dancer shed light on the events that transpired in Trisha Paytas' podcast, where he was quoted as saying:

"I think my biggest flop was not going to Taylor Swift’s audition for her tour. I was invited."

He then went on to add:

"I feel like [Madison] Beer saying this, but I [think] if I would have gone to the audition, I would have booked it because it was Mandy Moore, [and] she trained me growing up. I had that close connection, and the material of it. Yeah, no, I could have crushed it"

What was the reason for Ezra Sosa's decision?

Ezra Sosa started his dance journey on the show Dancing with the Stars Season 30 as a troupe dancer and performed in group acts and as a background dancer. He worked in that position up until Season 33 when he finally realised his dream of becoming a pro dancer on the show. He was matched with Anna Delvey, with whom he has also developed a close friendship.

So when Sosa was reportedly invited to be a part of Swift's Eras Tour, he passed on the opportunity owing to the loyalty he felt he owed to Dancing with the Stars. While the tour has become one of the highest-grossing tours of all time, Sosa admitted to having overcome his feelings of regret over the said decision. In the podcast, he further elaborated on the decision by saying:

"I definitely feel like me doing it at the time showed my loyalty to Dancing With the Stars ‘cause I was a swing for them. I said no to the audition because I was already swinging, and I just knew my heart was in Dancing With the Stars."

Ezra Sosa became quite a recognizable public figure due to his appearance on "Dancing with the Stars". Before that, he was seen in So You Think You Can Dance, where he put in a great effort to reach the Top 6 of Season 16. He also made an appearance in other shows like World of Dance and America's Got Talent later.
