BTS' Jimin caught much fan attention on social media after the results of AMAs 2025 were made public on May 26, 2025. The American Music Awards 2025 presented it’s awards in Las Vegas. BTS' Jimin was nominated in ‘Favorite K-pop Artist’ category for AMAs 2025, alongside his fellow singer RM and other Korean music artists.
Although Jimin earned a nomination, he couldn’t win the award as the Favorite K-pop Artist and instead RM bagged the title at AMAs 2025. Fans seemed upset with this and they flooded the social media with their support for BTS’ Jimin. One of them on X commented:
“NO ONE deserved this award more than Jimin.”

Many other fans gave their mixed reactions on this. While many stated that BTS’ Jimin deserved it, others said that RM didn’t have any achievement in US charts still he recorded a win in AMAs 2025. Other fans also claimed that HYBE prevented Jimin from winning the award.
“Jimin deserved it, not someone who never makes the US charts and can't even beat a group of rookies,” a fan wrote.
“Mind you he don’t have any USA achievements and can’t chart more than one day,” commented another fan.
“I knew this was going to happen when he was nominated along with Jimin because HYPE and SCOOTER needed a cover to prevent him from winning and this was the best choice, they know very well that Jimin won but they changed,” stated an admirer.
Some said both Jimin and RM deserved the award, others claimed the former to be the true king. Others said that the AMAs 2025 is rigged.
“Both deserved this award, jimin is probably celebrating namjoon's achievement and you're crying lol,” wrote another fan.

BTS' RM won the title of Favorite K-pop Artist at AMAs 2025
The American Music Awards 2025 nominated total five K-pop acts notably BTS' Jimin, RM, ATEEZ, BLACKPINK’s Rosé, and Stray Kids.
Kim Namjoon, aka RM, won the award as the ‘Favorite K-pop Artist’ at AMAs 2025. The BTS rapper bagged the award for his solo album Right Place, Wrong Person, which came out in May 2024.
