On June 11, 2025, BTS' Jimin and Jungkook officially wrapped up with their compulsory military service. Shortly after their discharge, the Like Crazy singer took to South Korean social media app, Weverse, to express his gratitude towards his fans who came out and welcomed him during his military release.
In his most recent Weverse post, BTS' Jimin stated cool temperatures and risky scenarios in South Korea, praising ARMY for coming out in such conditions and welcoming him back from the military.
“ARMY, it's Jimin. I want to say thank you to ARMY who waited for today. I was so happy. I'd like to ask you a favor urgently. As I said earlier, the temperature outside is high and it is a narrow alley, so I sincerely thank you for coming because it could cause dangerous situations, but I would appreciate it if you could come home today. Please”
BTS' Jimin gave a short speech after his release
Park Jimin also gave a short speech on camera during his military discharge. He thanked ARMY and everyone else who showed their love and support for the group. He emphasized group’s fans support since COVID and added that the band will now continue with their activities after a long hiatus.
"Thank you for coming to see us from far away. ARMY, it's been quite a long time from COVID to the military, so thank you for waiting. Now that I've been discharged, I think we can continue to draw the picture we've been drawing. We will prepare and show you an even better image." Jimin said.
He went on to talk about his experience in military service. BTS’ Jimin found the training both easy and difficult. He added that he learned a lot and also made many lovely memories during his service term. The idol revealed that it was his first time engaging with military and that it wasn’t an easy place.
"The military was actually my first time, and it wasn't an easy place. I never came in under the impression that it would be easy, but it wasn't easy and difficult. We suffered together and learned a lot. I will hold these grateful memories in my heart and cherish them for a long time. If I may say this to the people, the military wasn't an easy place. There are so many people who are having a hard time. If you don't mind, I would like you to say something lightly to the soldiers when you see them."
Following his release, both BTS' Jimin and Jk interacted with their fans through livestream on Weverse.
In related news, J-hope also offered a glimpse of Jimin and Jungkook’s military discharge celebrations through his IG story.
