Rapper NBA YoungBoy has started his Make America Slime Again, or MASA, tour, with its first stop in Dallas. On September 2, the X account “@Kurrco” posted a video showing the rapper emerging from a casket on stage during his performance. Social media users appeared impressed by his entrance, with one X user commenting:

“That was a dope entry to be honest. It's been a while as well. Watch his numbers go up on tour and the hip-hop saviours' numbers keep diminishing.”

Another user echoed a similar sentiment, writing:

“YOUNGBOY CAME BACK LIKE THEY LEFT HIM FOR DEAD.”

Others seemed amazed by the crowd. According to one user:

“i thought ni**as said yb couldnt sell out.”

An X user compared him to Kendrick Lamar, saying:

“He bigger than Kendrick no bap.”

Some seemed thrilled about NBA YoungBoy’s return to the stage, as one netizen commented:

“GOAT IS BACK B*TCHES.”

One social media user spoke highly of YoungBoy's entry, mentioning:

“His entries are always box office.”

Another internet user remarked about the crowd, claiming:

“ni**a crowd so dead ni**a just got some of his fan screaming.”

Before starting his MASA tour, NBA YoungBoy donated $50,000 to two NGOs as a philanthropic gesture. The two non-profit organizations are named Manifest Freedom and Urban Specialist. Sharing his motivation behind the initiative, the rapper told Fox News:

“Basically, just try to stop the crime. You know, a lot of people be getting hurt. So, it ain't really cool at this point to me. So, I just want to help in any way I could.”

What did NBA YoungBoy say about the music industry?

In 2023, Complex conducted an exclusive interview with the rapper, giving a look into his house in Utah and the creative process behind his work. The interviewer asked NBA YoungBoy about making videos late at night and how he comes up with ideas. He said that nothing was planned.

When it was time to film, he chose an outfit someone found for him and went with it. He never knew what the video would be about and only cared about getting paid, not about planning things. NBA YoungBoy added:

“Because I learned it’s a demonic industry that I chose to be a part of. So, it’s like, how, I accept it, I run with it, but don’t be a dummy at the same time. You gotta understand. They using me as entertainment and this sh*t becomes self-destruction, too, cause I ain’t an entertainer. You know? Some sh*t can’t be spoke on. Why? Man, cause this sh*t is, it’s to be continued.”

In a Billboard interview published in 2023, NBA YoungBoy said that since he was 15, he enjoyed being in a room alone. He preferred staying in a small space where he felt secure. He explained that nighttime was his favorite because when everyone was asleep and it was quiet, he felt at peace, with only animals and some troublemakers moving around outside.
