On September 7, BLACKPINK's Lisa received an award at the 2025 MTV VMAs in the ‘Best K-pop’ category for her song Born Again. The female idol released this song as part of her solo album, Alter Ego, which was released in February this year. This song was made in a collaborative effort with Doja Cat and RAYE.
With the latest win, Lisa joined BTS with the most awards in the Best K-pop category over the years. Both Lisa and BTS have won this award three times in the past years.
